Big Dreams and New Horizons

Welcome to my new blog!  After almost a year off from blogging (formerly Michelle's Homestead),  I'm ready to make a fresh start and take things in a new direction.

Its been a difficult year.  I've had alot of struggles, victories, losses and gains, but out of all that is emerging a new me that is a strong, capable, self-determined, with only an occasional moment of being scared and panicky.  This transformation is still going to be a process.  I am a work of art being shaped and molded by the experiences God throws my way.

One of my favorite quotes has become one from Marilyn Monroe "I'm selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."

So, about the new direction I'm taking - this blog will be primarily a business blog.  My ultimate goal and dream is to open my own storefront boutique.  I know and understand the uphill battle it will be to get there especially because I will do it debt free.  This blog will be a recounting of the process from the dream to the birth of my shop.  It may take years, so bear with me.  At first, it will be a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants effort to get out of my personal debt first, then grow from there.

More tomorrow on what type of business it will be...
